Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actor and TV host. Her most well-known work is the protagonist of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. She began her professional career in showbiz from a young age. The actress was in lead roles in television dramas from as early as the age of 16. After her critically acclaimed role in the show Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge for the film Downfall. This film was nominated for an Oscar and won critical acclaim. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films that feature this beautiful diva. In the past, Alexandra was involved in numerous notable international and national projects. They include the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French documentary about the history of Napoleon as well as other miniseries. She was also a member of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
