Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film most well-known for her roles in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Born as the only children from Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered the showbiz world early and was playing lead roles in different television dramas by the time she turned 16. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and received critical and commercial great success. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra was involved in many notable projects, both nationally and internationally. This includes the British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other. She has also been a juror at the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as the Cannes Film Festival.
